Refractive surgery includes techniques that correct vision defects — myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia. There are two main approaches: laser surgery, which reshapes the cornea (Femtolasik, PRK, Trans-PRK, SMILE), and intraocular lenses, which correct vision without acting on the cornea (ICL, cataract surgery with premium IOLs). The choice between the two depends on corneal thickness and the type of vision defect, and is defined after the diagnostic examination.
